Dr. Morton is the former President of ASMBS and is currently the Section Chief of Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery, Department of Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine. He is also the recipient of the 2017 ASMBS Outstanding Achievement Award, which is the highest honor given by the ASMBS Foundation for significant contributions to the field of metabolic and bariatric surgery. This symposium will focus on the biology of appetite regulation, the role of hormones in weight homeostasis, and the safety and efficacy of a treatment option for chronic weight management.
